1. Introduction: The First Time I Opened PolygonScan, I Almost Cried from Information Overload
When I deployed the RizeCoin (RZC) contract, someone told me: “Check the transaction on PolygonScan.”
I opened the site for the first time.
The screen loaded… and my heart stopped.
Transactions list. Block numbers. Gas used. Contract addresses. Event logs. Token balances. Holders table. Transfer history. Source code tab. Everything was thrown at me at once.
I typed in my contract address and hit search. A wall of numbers, hashes, and timestamps appeared. My mind went blank.
“Is this really my token? Did I mess something up? Is someone hacking it right now?” My chest tightened. My hands were shaking on the phone. I remember thinking: “I made something this complicated… I can’t manage this. I’m going to fail.”
I was seriously close to tears. It felt like I had accidentally built a rocket ship when all I wanted was a bicycle.
But I kept scrolling slowly, panicking less with each click. Eventually I found: “Oh… this line is my deployment transaction.” “Here’s the first transfer I did.” “This tab shows how many people hold RZC.”
Little by little, the fear turned into: “Wait… this thing is actually super useful.”
Today I’ll share exactly that journey — from “information overload panic” to “daily check routine” — in the simplest way I can.
2. Everyday Analogy: PolygonScan Is Like “The Public Transaction Receipt App for the Entire Polygon Network”
Think of PolygonScan as: A public bank statement viewer that shows every single transaction on Polygon — not just yours.
- Normal bank app → You see only your own account history
- PolygonScan → You can see everyone’s transfers, token creations, contract interactions, gas fees, block production… everything, for free, anytime
It’s the blockchain’s “open ledger” made searchable and readable. Anyone in the world can look up any address or transaction and verify what happened. That transparency is what makes blockchain powerful — and PolygonScan is the easiest window into it.
3. What You Can Actually Do on PolygonScan (Beginner-Friendly Features)
The site looks overwhelming at first, but you only need a few parts. The features I use every day:
- Transaction lookup — Paste a Tx Hash (transaction ID) → see exactly when it happened, from/to addresses, amount, gas paid, success/failure.
- Wallet / address check — Enter your wallet address → see your POL balance, RZC balance, recent sends/receives, token holdings.
- Your token’s page — Enter RZC contract address → total supply, number of holders, recent transfers, contract source code (if verified).
- Gas price tracker — Top of the homepage shows current gas prices → helps decide “Is now a good time to send?”
- Token explorer — Search any token → price chart (if listed), trading volume, holder distribution, suspicious activity check.
You don’t need to understand 90% of the tabs. Just focus on your wallet and your token — that’s enough for most beginners.
4. Why PolygonScan Matters (Especially for Small Projects)
For someone running a tiny token like RZC, PolygonScan gives real peace of mind:
- Instant proof of transactions — “Did the transfer go through? Was the gas fee reasonable?” → Answer in seconds.
- Daily health check for your token — Holder count increasing? Trading volume growing? Seeing small progress every day keeps motivation alive.
- Spot red flags early — Sudden large dumps, weird holder concentration, unverified contract code → you can notice before users complain. Think of it as your early warning system against rug pulls and honeypots.
- Transparency builds trust — Anyone can verify RZC is real, supply is fixed, transfers are honest. No hidden team wallets — everything is public.
It turns “Is this safe?” anxiety into “I can see everything myself” confidence.
Even now, I haven’t mastered the site.
Advanced filters and API usage still confuse me. “I want only RZC transfers from the last week” takes too many clicks. Pages sometimes load slowly during peak hours. Real-time checks can be frustrating.
I still have moments of doubt: “Is this data 100% trustworthy?” Even though blockchain is immutable, the human part of me occasionally double-checks against Etherscan.
I’m getting better slowly, but I’m far from an expert. That’s why I keep experimenting and learning.

7. A Quick Note at the End
I created RizeCoin (RZC) with the hope that it could be useful for people in places with unstable infrastructure or limited access to finance. It started as a simple idea, but the reality is full of challenges and uncertainties.
Still, tools like PolygonScan help me stay grounded and keep improving step by step.
